  • Best PANCAKES in Singapore! Its always an exciting experience at the loft! I was here with my friends and the must thing to order is definitely the PANCAKES! and just when i finish ordering it... i saw the waiter holding a plate of weird but interesting looking cloud eggs! i shall try it the next time round! yey! - Reviewed 21 June 2015 pewristic Singapore, Singapore
  • Little restaurant in ChinatownAte at The Loft a couple of times. Tried their coffee and tea beverages personally felt that it was average. Loved the waffles with the free flow of syrup. However, I felt that in terms of value/price wise, the pancakes are more of value. Try the banana pancakes it is good! Blueberry pancakes nah, not worth the additional cost just for a few berries. Thought the main highlight set (i forgot the name) which has an array of pancakes, scrambled eggs, greens, sausages and ham was average too... Service wise it was pretty good. Not exceptional to the point that I would rave about but it was good :) Overall, the food is alright. But I love the laid back ambiance at The Loft. Appreciate that the owner didn't squeeze tons of tables and chairs in. A balance of space. Would come again for the food(pancakes & waffles) but not so for the drinks. - Reviewed 14 July 2013walkingonclouds Melbourne, Australia
  • Super good, feels like homeCame at the Loft with my wife and kid, we ordered fish and chips a garden salad with Salmon, and pasta carbonara, everything was good and i was very surprised how good it was the pasta !! Big portion and good taste ... The salad also was just perfect served in a nice dressing ... Then we had a Brownies Founde served with banana strawberries and mashmallow, i must say the best i ever had, during iur kunch our son was playing around with the many toys they gave to him.. Service was fast, will come back every time we are in Singapore !!! - Reviewed 31 August 2013cafe-romano-bali bali
  • Yay for the brownie! There was a period of time where I went back almost every week for dessert, & every time, I would order the brownie without fail. Be it with a meal, the fondue, or just the brownie by itself. Atmosphere is pretty great, just that with renovations going on around, it is a little hard to find the place. My advice would be to walk along the pavement on the side of the road & look up on the second floor. If you see their logo protruding from the wall you'll know you've found it. Service was really quite shabby, it could be improved. It might be due to the fact that they're understaffed, or perhaps it's the layout of the cafe that makes it hard for them to spot you. Anyway, if you have time for some afternoon tea, I'd recommend this place. - Reviewed 7 October 2013Lainee-XQL Singapore, Singapore
  • Relaxing environment, great pancakes and Eggs Benedict. If you're in Singapore long-term or just passing through and wanting a taste of a nice western meal, do yourself a favor and get over the The Loft Cafe for some delicious food. We enjoyed pancakes and Eggs Benedict for lunch two days days ago. There's construction on the street where their entrance is, so it feels a bit tucked away. It's upstairs, and has plenty of tables and a couple of couches for a more leisurely meal or hangout time. We had an iced mocha which was good; the flat white coffee was good, but not a very large cup for the S$5.50. Personally we really liked the blueberry infused pancakes. There apparently has been a change in management as of November 1 -- there were 3-4 parties when we went in, served by 2 waitstaff and the manager. Service was excellent. We had a view of the street on one end of China town. Not scenic per se, but since we like people watching, ideal. - Reviewed 19 November 2013marksb303 Singapore, Singapore

  • A little oasis on a hot and steamy arvo in Singapore’s wet season. What a great little place. Hard to find, and you must first navigate the steps up to the cafe, but I promise you it is cool, western food aplenty, staff who are friendly, and can understand most of what you say, and the coffee, is excellent. We had pancakes, which were delicious. After travelling through many Asian countries recently, it was a breath of fresh air to be served by someone who understands milk on the side. - Reviewed 20 March 2014Hellie457 Pakenham
  • Great place and even greater peopleLooking for somewhere for a decent coffee and a break from the humidity in Chinatown, we were told "there's a good coffee shop up the road on the corner". "Good" doesn't do it justice. We wouldn't have found it had we not been told to look for it - just a single doorway with a staircase inside and a sign at the door - easy to miss among all the bigger cafes. Cool, very comfortable and the first place in Asia we found people who understood a long black with milk on the side and no condensed milk either - proper milk. Pancakes and western style breakfast food but also some Asian options for those who want them. It was so good on our first visit we went back another day. Our travel companion Hellie457 has described the wonderful service we got in the midst of deluging rain. Loved the Loft - highly recommend it. - Reviewed 22 March 2014Ann T Moe, Australia
  • Hidden gem along Chinatown Food StreetI passed by the row of shophouses along Chinatown's Food Street but never seemed to notice this cafe. Cafe offers free wifi and some corner tables are equipped with a wireless charging device. Pretty interesting, I must say. To charge your phone, ask the staff for a charging phone case and viola! I tried the Lychee Freeze and it was pretty much what you expect from a Lychee Freeze - not too sweet with one Lychee.

My friend ordered the Flat White and in my opinion, there was nothing to shout about. The cup was pretty small and there was no coffee art!

Still, I would probably pay another visit next time to try the pancakes and waffles which seems to be their specialty.

  • Awesome pancakes!Went there last week with a few friends. The pancakes smelled so good, the 4 of us got 3 each for dinner. Soft, light & fluffy, there's not much we could have asked for. Oh, more butter please! - Reviewed 25 August 2014Lainee-XQL Singapore, Singapore
  • Good ambience place with good foodPlace is situated in Chinatown, will not notice the place if you don't know about the place. We managed to see it while crossing the road. It is along the stretch where the Chinatown food place is. Ambience of the place is really good if you want a quiet & relaxing place to chill. Ordered a Grilled Rosemary Chicken with fries, breaded mushroom & chicken salad. Food was great. Food prices is reasonable & affordable. - Reviewed 12 September 2014desmondo76

  • Western style breakfast in SingaporeStaying in Chinatown we found it hard to find a place that offered a Western style breakfast. Located at the very end of Smith St (not halfway as google maps suggests) the Loft Cafe seems to have most breakfast items covered. I went for poached eggs with avocado and the eggs were perfectly cooked and served with a whole avocado... - Reviewed 23 January 2015

  • Great breakfast and helpful staffWe came to the cafe as a group of 28 people on a studytrip. We needed to have breakfast, sometimes very early in the morning. The staff was very helpful and prepared an excellent breakfast for us, anytime we wanted. The good tasted good and the people were friendly.

  • A Must Visit Treasure in ChinatownAfter spending hours walking Chinatown, what a pleasure to find this place right on the street corner. The vibe is great, with cool black colors and a modern decor and art. There's loads of natural light flooding in all over the place, and the smell of fresh baked goods flooding your nostrils. And the AC was most welcome as well.... - Reviewed 19 March 2015
